Privacy Policy
Short version: Meme Tycoon has no accounts and collects no personal data of its own, and your save stays on your device. To keep the game free it shows ads from Google AdSense, which may use cookies or an advertising identifier — you can opt out (details below). The longer version is below, in plain language.
Last updated: June 2026. Meme Tycoon is a free browser game intended for a general audience aged 13 and up.
The whole policy, in one box
- No accounts. No sign-up, no login, no profile.
- No chat, no comments, no user-generated content of any kind.
- We don’t set cookies or fingerprint you ourselves. Our traffic counter is cookieless.
- Ads are served by Google AdSense, a third party that may use cookies or an advertising identifier to show ads. You can opt out — see Advertising below.
- We collect no personal data ourselves — no name, email, age, or location.
- Your game save stays on your own device, in your browser.
What we collect
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-first traffic counter. It tells us aggregate, anonymous things like “how many pages were viewed today” and roughly which page. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not build a profile of you across sites. We cannot identify you from it, and we don’t try to.
That counter is the entire extent of the data we collect. We run no other analytics and no social tracking scripts. The one other third party we load is Google AdSense, which serves the ads that keep the game free — described under Advertising below. If the analytics beacon or the ads are blocked or fail to load, the game works exactly the same.
Your game save
Your progress is stored locally in your own browser’s storage
(localStorage) on the device you play on. It never leaves your
device unless you choose to export it. We do not have a server that
receives, stores, or can read your save. There is no cloud sync, and there are no
accounts to attach a save to.
You are always in control of it: you can export your save to a file, import one, or clear it entirely by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Clearing your browser data will erase your progress, because that is the only place it lives.
Codes
Redeeming a code in-game is checked entirely on your own device — codes are not accounts and do not transmit anything about you to us. Redeeming a code does not identify you or create any record on our end.
Advertising
Meme Tycoon shows ads to keep the game free. Ads are optional (you choose to watch a rewarded ad) or frequency-limited, never deceptive, and the game is fully playable with ads blocked.
Our advertising partner is Google AdSense. To serve ads, Google is a third-party vendor that may use cookies or a mobile/advertising identifier, and may collect information such as your device’s IP address and ad interactions. Google and its partners may use this to serve ads, and — where permitted — to personalize them based on your visits to this and other sites. Google’s use of advertising data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices. You can control or opt out of ad personalization:
- Manage personalized ads in your Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of personalized advertising from many vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent message before any such cookies are used, and can decline; the game still works.
Because Meme Tycoon is written for a general audience aged 13 and up, ad requests are tagged to keep ads family-appropriate. We do not share any data with Google ourselves — we have none to share; the data above is collected by Google directly through the ad units.
Children’s privacy
Meme Tycoon is written for a general audience aged 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the game has no accounts, no chat, no user-generated content, and no personal-data collection, there is nothing for a child (or anyone) to share with us. The content is family-safe throughout. If you are a parent or guardian and have any concern, please reach out — see Contact, below.
Third parties
The site is served as static files from a hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages), which may keep standard, short-lived server logs for security and reliability, as web hosts do. The third-party services we intentionally load are the cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon and Google AdSense, both described above. We ourselves do not sell, rent, or share any personal data, because we do not collect any; any data used for ads is handled by Google directly under its own policy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if an ad partner is enabled — we will update this page and its “last updated” date. Material changes will also be noted on the changelog.
Contact
Questions about privacy, ads, or this site? Email [email protected], or use the contact link in the footer of any page. Because there are no accounts and we hold no personal data of our own, most privacy requests have nothing on our side to act on — but we read and answer genuine ones, including from parents and guardians.
For the story of who built this game — including the parts that are real and the parts that are a bit — see the about page.
